Bahrain
An Import Permit is required prior to shipment. Dogs and cats must have been vaccinated against rabies at least 30 days and no more than 6 months at the time of shipment. Also required is a DEFRA export health certificate signed by an LVI Veterinary Surgeon within 48 hours of shipment. Dogs must have been vaccinated against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parvo virus. Cats must be vaccinated against cat flu and feline enteritis.
Dubai, Abu Dhabi UAE
An Import Permit is required prior to shipment. To obtain this the following documents must be submitted with the application: Copy of owner's passport, copy of work or residence visa, microchip registration certificate for dogs, vaccination certificate showing rabies, distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvo virus and kennel cough. For cats a microchip registration and vaccination certificate showing rabies, cat flu and enteritis is required. If you are shipping your pet through Par Air then we can obtain the Import Permit if required through our agents in the UAE. An ear smear test for Babesia gibsoni is required prior to shipping dogs to UAE. There are no blood tests required for shipping cats. A DEFRA veterinary health certificate must be issued by an LVI 48 hours prior to shipment with a tick and tapeworm treatment. Some breeds of dogs are banned.
Qatar
An Import Permit is required prior to shipment of pets, also a DEFRA export health certificate issued by an LVI Veterinary Surgeon not more than 48 hours prior to shipment. Dogs must have been vaccinated against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parvo virus. Cats must be vaccinated against cat flu and feline enteritis. Animals must have been resident in the U.K. for the six months prior to shipment or since birth
Saudi Arabia
DEFRA export health issued by an LVI Veterinary Surgeon 72 hours prior to shipment. A rabies vaccination is required at least 30 days and no more than 1 year prior to export. All documents must be legalised by the Saudi Consulate in London prior to shipment. An import permit is required prior to shipment. Cats can only travel by British Midland Airways. Dogs must be imported as guard dogs to protect owner's property. Many breeds are banned. Please check list with Par Air Services.
Kuwait
An Import Permit is required prior to shipment. DEFRA export health certificate required issued by an LVI Veterinary Surgeon 48 hours prior to shipment. These documents must be legalised by the Kuwait Consulate in London prior to shipment..
Sultanate of Oman
An Import Permit is required prior to shipment, also a DEFRA export health certificate with tick and tapeworm treatment issued by an LVI Veterinary Surgeon 48 hours prior to shipment. Dogs must be vaccinated against rabies, distemper, leptospirosis and parvo virus, cats for cat flu and enteritis at least 30 days and no more than 1 year at the time of export Animals must have been resident in the U.K. since birth or during the six months prior to shipment.
Egypt
Dogs and cats must be vaccinated against rabies at least 30 days and no more than 1 year at the time of export. DEFRA export health certificate required issued by an LVI Veterinary Surgeon 96 hours prior to shipment. Health Certificate and rabies vaccination certificate must be legalised by The Egyptian Embassy in London.
L.V.I. Veterinary Surgeon means a vet that is a Local Veterinary Inspector for DEFRA.
