This scheme covers dogs and cats from approved countries only.
The following procedure must be carried out in the order listed:-
- Your dog/cat must be implanted with a microchip of ISO Standards.
- Vaccination against rabies.
- Rabies antibody blood test. (6 months from the date of blood sampling
the dog/cat will be eligible to enter the UK without quarantine providing
there are sufficient antibodies in the bloodstream)
- Tick & Tape Worm treatment not more than
48 hours and not less than 24 hours prior to departure. (Treatment must
be with Frontline; Stronghold is not
an approved product.)
- The animal must travel on an approved route by an approved airline -

determine those approved from your point of origin. Dogs and Cats that
are not fully compliant with the 6 month blood testing rule will be eligible
to complete the time period under short-term quarantine
restrictions.
